I'm 37 and their prime in the 60's I obviously missed, but I've been a die hard fan of their music since I was 15. My first experience with LSD was greatly enhanced with their phenomenal music. The story on the impossible bass line for Riders is baffling because the notes are easy to play. I even listened to the song again trying to hear any impossible bass guitar work. not there to my ear. Any bassists have any idea what Ray is talking about. Cool opening with Robbie playing twentieth century fox, its one of my favorite riffs of all time.

You couldn't say high during the 1960's lmao. We know that Jim was a good person, no one doubts it Ray. THE man who tamed the keys. He will never be forgotten. He's almost as legendary as Jim. Numbers are meaningless,what a wise and wonderful man Ray was,bless him. The best song ever by the best musicians and song writers ever.
